Remembering Military Chaplains

Let us give double the honor to those who double their service:  military chaplains who sacrifice their lives on both the military battlefield to serve our country, to protect our freedom, and the spiritual battlefield to protect our souls and serve the Kingdom of God.

No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
John 15:13

I give thanks to God and extend my gratitude to all Soldiers for Christ, especially the military chaplains, but also the missionaries far afield proclaiming the Good News; consecrated religious brothers and sisters; modern-day martyrs for the faith; and the grandmother alone in a pew, storming heaven with prayer. God Bless You all.

When Christ calls a man, he bids him come and die.
— Dietrich Bonhoeffer, The Cost of Discipleship (1937)
