Feast of Saint Matthew
In the Gospel of the Mass for the Feast of Saint Matthew (Matthew 9:9–13), Jesus tells us he did not come for the righteous, but he came for sinners. He came for those dead in sin. He came to heal and restore and to give us the fullness of life. He does this by bestowing upon us his Holy Spirit.
